Soccer Recap: Lely Takes a Loss

Lely and Barron Collier squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lely had to settle for second. They lost 4-1 to the Barron Collier Cougars. The Trojans have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lely's goal came courtesy of Hassan Ali, who's now up to six this season.

Lely's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6-4. As for Barron Collier, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

Lely does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barron Collier, they will host Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Naples will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Barron Collier surely won't give up without a fight.
