Volleyball Game Preview: Eaton Rapids Greyhounds vs. Ovid-Elsie Marauders + Official Tickets

Eaton Rapids has gone a perfect 4-0 against Ovid-Elsie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Greyhounds are taking a road trip to face off against the Marauders at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Ovid-Elsie will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Eaton Rapids extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Greyhounds blew past Sexton 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Eaton Rapids was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-6, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Abi Pratt, who had eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Delaney Collins also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Eaton Rapids was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Ovid-Elsie made easy work of New Lothrop on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-16.

Eaton Rapids' record is now 14-7-4. As for Ovid-Elsie, their record now sits at 16-7-2.

Eaton Rapids came out on top in a nail-biter against Ovid-Elsie when the teams last played back in September of 2021, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greyhounds since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
