Baseball Recap: Thurston Eagles vs. Crestwood Chargers

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last seven times Thurston and Crestwood have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Eagles walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Chargers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-3 on Monday.

Damar Crimes and Xavier Gay were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Crimes pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Gay struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
