The Greene County Wildcats will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the George County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Greene County is headed out to face George County after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Everything went Greene County's way against Forrest County Agricultural last Monday as Greene County made off with a 12-1 victory.

Addie Tungett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Tungett was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Riley Kate Byrd and Reagan Walters did most of the damage at the plate: Byrd scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances, while Walters went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Greene County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forrest County Agricultural only posted an OBP of .222.

Meanwhile, George County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Ocean Springs as George County made off with an 11-3 win. The Rebels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Addison Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kyleigh Howell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Bradley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
