Basketball Recap: Louisville Comes Up Short

Louisville played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Arlington Eagles 61-33. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-9.

Arlington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trent Koger out in front who went 8-for-19 en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Koger has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Oliver Ladehoff was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Louisville has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Arlington, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Louisville will square off against Elmwood-Murdock at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for Arlington, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Archbishop Bergan at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
