Basketball Recap: Martin County West Comes Up Short

Martin County West has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 61-34 to the St. Mary's Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-34 last Thursday.

Martin County West's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6. As for St. Mary's, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 25-2.

While Martin County West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
