Spring entered their tilt with Dekaney on Friday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-0 back in March.

Mikayla Zepeda looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hailey Jones-Calais was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Monica Kirk also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Spring always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Spring's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Dekaney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring is set to face off against their familiar foe Nimitz at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dekaney will take on rival MacArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
