Baseball Game Preview: Loudon Redskins vs. Heritage Mountaineers

For the second straight game, Loudon will face off against Heritage. The Redskins will head out to challenge the Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Loudon was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Heritage a 2-0 shutout.

Not much got past Boston Montooth, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Heritage off the board. Montooth also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Loudon is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 9-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eli Kelso, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Caden Ridings, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Loudon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Heritage, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9.
