Football Recap: College Park Falcons vs. Alhambra Bulldogs
There's no place like home for College Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past the Alhambra Bulldogs 34-7 at home on Friday. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Izaac Jinks went supernova for College Park, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Jinks got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards. James Voorhies was another key player, throwing for 106 yards and a touchdown.
College Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Desmond Cobb.
College Park's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-6. As for Alhambra, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. College Park will venture away from home to square off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northgate has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 116 points over their last three contests. As for Alhambra, they are taking a road trip to take on Benicia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
