With a playoff win on the line, Sound Christian rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over the Summit Classical Christian School Archers. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four games in a row.
Kona Resseau continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-20 en route to 23 points. Makai Resseau was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Summit Classical Christian School's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cam Milojevich, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Simon, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 19 points and eight rebounds.
Sound Christian pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Summit Classical Christian School, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 19-4.
