Holcomb has gone a perfect 10-0 against Goodland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cowboys at 3:00 p.m. Holcomb is looking for their season's first victory.

Holcomb played against Southwestern Heights on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

On Thursday, Goodland beat Russell 8-4.

Kaedance Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Destiny Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elly Evert, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Goodland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Holcomb, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Holcomb was able to grind out a solid victory over Goodland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cowboys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
