Basketball Recap: Branson Comes Up Short

The Branson Pirates were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 63-58 to the Blue Springs South Jaguars. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Branson's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Blue Springs South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Branson will take on Mt. Vernon in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Springs South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 85-29 defeat against Staley on the 15th.
