Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Parkview last Monday, Central came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 8-1 to the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats on Tuesday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 15-7 to the Charging Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for North Little Rock, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Central is taking a road trip to square off against Little Rock Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gryphons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.81 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Little Rock, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bryant at 5:00 p.m. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Charging Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
