Baseball Recap: Madison Falls Short of Mountain View in the Playoffs

Madison and Mountain View squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Madison had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 14-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

With the loss, Madison broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-10. As for Mountain View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-9.

Mountain View has already played their next match, a 7-5 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 9th. Hopefully Madison paid attention to the Mavericks' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mavericks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
