Basketball Preview: Westwood Longhorns vs. Oakhaven Hawks
The Westwood Longhorns just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Oakhaven Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Westwood is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
On Monday, Westwood lost to the Vikings at home by a decisive 64-47 margin. While losing is never fun, Westwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Vikings are ranked 116th).
Meanwhile, Oakhaven blew past the , posting a 69-23 win on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oakhaven.
Oakhaven's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ky'Sedreon Robinson, who scored 15 points, and Jertavien Williams, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season.
Westwood now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Oakhaven, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Westwood came up short against the Hawks in their previous meeting back in January, falling 68-61. Can Westwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
