Basketball Recap: Brantley County's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Brantley County won the last time they faced Berrien and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Brantley County Herons enjoyed a cozy 68-51 win over the Berrien Rebels. Given the Herons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Rebels are ranked 448th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brantley County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Berrien, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Brantley County will challenge Fitzgerald at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berrien, they will square off against Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
