Preview: Broken Arrow Tigers vs. Muskogee Roughers
Broken Arrow is 10-0 against Muskogee since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Broken Arrow Tigers will be staying on the road to face off against the Muskogee Roughers at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Broken Arrow will be strutting in after a win while Muskogee will be coming in after a defeat.
Broken Arrow posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Stillwater 46-44. Given Broken Arrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Stillwater is ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Muskogee pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Ponca City 92-55. Muskogee just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Broken Arrow's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Muskogee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Broken Arrow against Muskogee in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 66-38 win. Will Broken Arrow repeat their success, or does Muskogee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
