Baseball Game Preview: Liberal Redskins vs. Woodward Boomers

For the second straight game, Liberal will face off against Woodward. The Redskins will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Boomers at 6:00 p.m.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Liberal turned things around against Woodward on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Boomers 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redskins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Alexander Schwindt was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kye Morris, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Liberal's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Woodward, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
