It was a good run, but Clinton County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cumberland County Panthers by a score of 5-4. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Clinton County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Casada, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. With that strong performance, Casada is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another was Matt Duvall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Clinton County's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Cumberland County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton County will take on Adair County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cumberland County, they will challenge Hickman County at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
