Pinecrest won the last time they faced Western Harnett and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles.

Pinecrest got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 29-31, 25-9.

Carly Stayskal paced Pinecrest's offense, picking up eight kills. Stayskal got some help from Lawson Barrett and her 17 assists. Barrett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Western Harnett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest will host Purnell Swett at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western Harnett, they will head out to challenge Triton at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
