Softball Recap: Ross Little Giants vs. Sandusky Blue Streaks
Ross scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sandusky Blue Streaks with a sharp 15-5 win.
Rubi Almaguer and Mady Hammer did most of the damage at the plate: Almaguer scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Hammer scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Almaguer is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Halbeisen, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.
Ross' victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Sandusky, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
Ross will be playing in front of their home fans against Southview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandusky, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbian at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
