Basketball Recap: Crete-Monee Takes a Loss

After flying high against Joliet Central last Wednesday, Crete-Monee came back down to earth. The Crete-Monee Warriors came up short against the Kankakee Kays on Friday, falling 65-42. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Kays are ranked 28th).

Crete-Monee's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Kankakee, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Crete-Monee and Lyons will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Kankakee, they will square off against Rich Township at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
