Soccer Recap: Saratoga Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Saratoga can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 474th in California, while the Gryphons are ranked 230th in California).

Saratoga's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Saratoga does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, they will face off against Milpitas on Saturday. Crystal Springs Uplands' defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Milpitas' offense will have their work cut out for them.
