Basketball Recap: Upper Columbia Academy Takes a Loss

Upper Columbia Academy lost against Liberty on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Upper Columbia Academy Lions had to suffer through a 76-17 loss at the hands of the Liberty Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Lancers are ranked 104th).

Upper Columbia Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Upper Columbia Academy Lions face off against the Asotin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will head out to challenge Colfax at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
