Softball Recap: Wildwood Wildcats vs. Cedar Key Sharks
Wildwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 28-12 to the Cedar Key Sharks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in March.

Bhyron Graham and Alex Barron stepped up to the plate in a big way. Graham went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Barron scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Barron has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Stephens, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Wildwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Cedar Key, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Looking ahead, Wildwood will host First Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season. As for Cedar Key, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Sharks are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
