Basketball Recap: Wellington Starts off Right with Win over Fort Morgan + How To Watch

Wellington had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 45-30 win over the Fort Morgan Mustangs. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 55-51 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Wellington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brookelyn Jones out in front who shot 50% from the field on her way to 17 points and seven blocks. Jones is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ava Essay, who went 8-for-12 en route to 17 points.

Wellington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-10 victory against The Pinnacle on the 3rd. As for Fort Morgan, they will head out to square off against Wiggins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
