Basketball Recap: East Extends Winning Streak to Three

East extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Luke Henderson. The East Aces snuck past the Eisenhower Tigers with a 60-56 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Henderson, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Eisenhower had strong showings from Pierce Blue, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, and Romari Howard, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points. What's more, Blue also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cohen Ho, who posted five points and three steals.

East's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Eisenhower, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

East will challenge Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eisenhower, they will face off against Newton at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
