Gearheart came up big in Southern Wells' 23-1 win
While Friday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Jakob Gearheart. He was dynamite on Friday, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Gearheart and Southern Wells will challenge Wes-Del at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Southern Wells has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
