Basketball Recap: Glades Day Takes a Loss

Glades Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 51-36 bruising from the Berean Christian Bulldogs. The Gators lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 64-25 score last time.

Derek Vasquez was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds for Berean Christian. The match was Vasquez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Vasquez, who posted ten points.

Glades Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Berean Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Glades Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-25 loss against Moore Haven on the 16th. As for Berean Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-59 defeat against Sheridan Hills Christian on the 13th.
