Football Recap: Model Takes a Loss

Model lost against Trion back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While the Blue Devils had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bulldogs 7-0.

A big part of Trion's victory came down to the chemistry between Linc Allen and his top target Bryson Roberts. Allen threw for 136 yards and two TDs while Roberts picked up 76 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Roberts a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two). Clayton Loughridge was in the mix too, providing Trion with one score.

Model's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Trion, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Model will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Trion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaFayette at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
