Basketball Game Preview: Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) vs. Pleasanton Eagles

The Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) will take on the Pleasanton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Uvalde will be strutting in after a victory while Pleasanton will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Uvalde was able to grind out a solid win over Carrizo Springs, taking the game 53-43.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Uvalde to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amilee Pulido, who posted 22 points. The dominant performance gave Pulido a new career-high in points. Natalia Cabralez was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Pleasanton played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Floresville, falling 50-28. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers/Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Uvalde is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-17 record this season. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-16.
