Basketball Recap: Galway Takes a Loss

Galway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Johnstown Sir Bills, falling 76-35. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 764th, while the Sir Bills are ranked 295th).

Galway's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Johnstown, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galway will square off against Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnstown has already played their next matchup (against Cobleskill-Richmondville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
