Basketball Recap: Hamlin Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Hamlin's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Aspermont Hornets by a score of 57-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-52 back in December of 2024.

Hamlin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ian Gruben, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Luke White, who earned 13 points.

Hamlin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Aspermont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hamlin and Aspermont will both be playing Paint Creek the next time they take the court. Aspermont will host Paint Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hamlin will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
