Basketball Recap: Ridgeline Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Hillcrest

The Ridgeline Riverhawks took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Knights. The Riverhawks have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Ridgeline lost, don't look at Cooper Hall. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 12 on his way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Berrett, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

Ridgeline's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Ridgeline will head out to challenge West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Ridgeline's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Hillcrest, they will take on Borah in a tournament on Thursday.
