Volleyball Recap: Maranatha Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Quinn Kaechele and Hope Fitzherbert + How To Watch

The Maranatha Christian Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Lincoln Hornets on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maranatha Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lincoln work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-15, 26-24, 21-25, 15-12.

Maranatha Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Hope Fitzherbert and Quinn Kaechele. Fitzherbert had 19 digs and one assist, while Kaechele had seven digs, four aces, and one block. Kaechele is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. Lily Hamilton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Maranatha Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lincoln, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Maranatha Christian will challenge Pacific Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln, they will face off against Fallbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
