Basketball Recap: Manchester Essex Drops Season-High Score on Sturgis West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manchester Essex). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Sturgis West Navigators 59-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Hornets have posted since February 28, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Manchester Essex and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Sturgis West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
