Baseball Recap: Damonte Ranch Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Damonte Ranch, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the McQueen Lancers on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Lancers back in March, they had to take a 11-4 loss.

Matthew Bonczyk looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, Damonte Ranch's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Wigfield, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave Wigfield a new career-high. Another was Dalton Millsaps, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Damonte Ranch's record is now 3-15. As for McQueen, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-14-1.
