Lake View took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Dillon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wild Gators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Wildcats on Monday. That's two games straight that the Wild Gators have won by just one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake View and bumps their season record up to 6-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Dillon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.
