After a string of four wins, Wylie East's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wylie Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 45-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Wylie East's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-9. As for Wylie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
