Baseball Recap: Atlantic City Extends Winning Streak to Three

Atlantic City waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bridgeton Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly ten runs.

Adel Villegas was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Villegas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Brendan Cahill was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Manny Polanco was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Atlantic City's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Bridgeton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13-1.

Looking ahead, Bridgeton is taking a road trip to take on Clayton at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic City will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against the Clippers, they'll take on Atlantic City again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
