Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vernon). They took down the Quanah Indians 61-47 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Quanah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Vernon will head out to challenge Holliday at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Quanah, they will face off against Pampa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
