Recap: Brewer Bears vs. Northwest Texans
The Brewer Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Northwest for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-31 victory on the road. That looming 65-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Brewer yet this season.
Brewer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayvion Johnson, who scored 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Perez, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Brewer is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. As for Northwest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-21.
Brewer will be playing in front of their home fans against Saginaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Saginaw is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Northwest, they will face off against Azle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Azle has now lost 16 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
