Softball Recap: Miller City Takes a Loss

Miller City lost against Continental back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

Peyton Michel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Teagan Rieman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Miller City's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-9. As for Continental, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller City will host Antwerp at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Continental, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
