Basketball Recap: River Hill Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact River Hill can now relate to. They fell just short of the Long Reach Lightning by a score of 69-67 on Friday. The Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, River Hill still got an impressive performance from Nicholas Kogut, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Kogut has posted since back in January. Justin Bishop was another key player, putting up 17 points.

River Hill's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Long Reach, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.

River Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Long Reach, they will challenge Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Long Reach has given up an average of 66.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
