Montwood has gone 8-2 against Socorro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Montwood Rams will welcome the Socorro Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Montwood and eight for Socorro.

Last Friday, Montwood came up short against Eastwood and fell 36-28. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Socorro also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Coronado by a score of 49-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1021st, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 192nd).

Loss or not, Socorro got some senior leadership from Isaias Morales and Danny Delgado. Morales went 6 for 15 en route to 16 points and six rebounds, while Delgado went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and three steals. Delgado has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Montwood, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.

Montwood strolled past Socorro in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 51-34. Will Montwood repeat their success, or does Socorro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
