Recap: Linden Tigers vs. Elizabeth Minutemen
The Linden Tigers were the 68-54 winner over the Elizabeth Minutemen when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Linden fell to Elizabeth 56-51. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Linden has scored all season.
Leading Elizabeth to victory were Cameron Mcrae and London Carson. Mcrae scored 17 points, while Carson scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The contest was Carson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Johnson, who scored eight points.
Linden's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Elizabeth, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linden will take on Plainfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elizabeth, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Newark Tech at 4:00 p.m. Newark Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Elizabeth likes a good challenge.
