Basketball Recap: Hot Springs Comes Up Short

Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 67-24 defeat at the hands of the Belle Fourche Broncs. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Broncs are ranked 49th).

Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Belle Fourche, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Hot Springs is taking a road trip to challenge Rapid City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belle Fourche, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sturgis Brown at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
