Baseball Recap: Loyola Takes a Loss

Loyola was the 9-8 winner over Madelia when they last played one another on May 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackhawks on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Loyola dropped their record down to 12-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Madelia, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Looking ahead, Loyola will take on Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Clippers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Madelia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
