Volleyball Game Preview: Devine Warhorses / Arabians vs. Cuero Gobblers

The Devine Warhorses / Arabians will challenge the Cuero Gobblers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Devine has five straight victories, Cuero has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Devine proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Randolph 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warhorses / Arabians have posted since August 29th.

Devine got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 30-28, 22-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Cuero came up short against St. Michael's on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.

Cuero's loss dropped their record down to 21-23. As for Devine, their victory bumped their record up to 24-17.

Devine took their win against Cuero in their previous matchup back in October of 2018 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Warhorses / Arabians repeat their success, or do the Gobblers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
