Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Iowa Falls-Alden's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Humboldt, Iowa Falls-Alden was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over the South Hardin Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cadets have posted since February 12, 2024.

Iowa Falls-Alden has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for South Hardin, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Iowa Falls-Alden has already played their next contest, an 86-55 defeat against St. Edmond on the 14th. As for South Hardin, they will take on East Marshall at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. East Marshall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully South Hardin likes a good challenge.
